Miss you guys. I hope all is well.
Haven't been online in a while just trying to catch up on a lot of things. Goodness knows what would of happened to this ol' blog if it wasn't for Uncle Spencer. Thank You so much for helping out and keeping things going for me. It is soooo appreciated. I have been able to get things back in order and can now focus again on the simpler things of life...Blogging! LOL
As Uncle Spencer has stated the new place Grandmommy is in is awesome. They noticed that we are a LARGE group and from what I was told, more than willing to accommodate us. They offered us use of a large private room with TV and plenty sitting areas for the entire family. It feels like gathering in a family room as instead of visiting a hospital.
As far as Grandmommy's progress is going... She is doing wonderfully! Her right hands moves all the time now. I notice it lifting and reaching out to everyone as she greets them. It may not always make it up, but the movement is there and that shows great progress. She even told me once (this was awhile back) that she moves it a lot without even realizing it. Few days ago, I glanced over once or twice while someone was showing her pictures and noticed her using her right hand to kinda point at the picture.
Another favorite moment of mine was the first night (maybe second night)she arrived. It was late, Grandmommy was ready for bed. They took her to her room and got her into the bed. I had said good night before she left the "family room" but had ran to her new room to sneak a few more kiss before leaving. When I got there she was tucked in bed comfortably. I waited my turn to steal more kisses, as others had had the same idea. I got my hug and kiss and told her "I love you". As I was heading towards the door I turned back towards Grandmommy and there she was, looking like an angel, blowing kisses with her right hand! Once again, she completely stole my heart as if she didn't already have it. God is so good. It's little moments like that, that I will cherish forever.
I hope to visit Grandmommy again tonight since I was unable to make it last night as planned. One word, "Homecoming"...anyone with a teenage daughter in high school may feel my pain!!!
So Until Next Time,
Be Safe and Stay Blessed,
Carmen
