My Grandmommy is such an amazing woman. When I grow up, I only pray that I have half as much strenght as she does. She has overcome so much and her spirits continue to be so high and strong that you cant help but be in good spirits around her. She is so amazing, words just cannot say how proud I am of her and how proud I am to be her grandchild. And my family...I don't even know where to begin with them. Let's just say I am proud to be in the GREENE family. ... They are just amazing! Even with all the hiccups that comes with having a large family, I wouldnt have it any other way.
Anywho...enough of me bragging about my wonderful family. Back to what you came here for. Grandmommys physcial therapy will start on Monday. I can only imagine how well she will be doing next week if she is already showing off. As I said earlier, grandmommy was lifting her arms and legs (the side that was affected by the stroke) and lifting it with ease. Of course there is till work to be done but for her to be making such progress without the therapy sessions, is just amazing. Can you imagine what progess she will be making when they start?!?! OMG, its only a matter of time before Grandmommy is up and moving around on her own again. Watch out world - you may slow her down, but you will never stop her - Grandmommy is a force to be reckoned with!
Where to send Gift of Love and Support
A few people have asked about where to send cards and other gifts to Grandmommy. Currently she is not allow to have flowers in the hospital. Please feel free to send cards to Uncle Dwight. Email Me to get his address. You can also send a message to Grandmommy via her guestbook.
So until tomorrow. I dont know about you, but everynight I get to sleep better knowing that my Grandmommy is getting stronger because it translates in my head that she is getting closer to where she (and the rest of the family) wants (her) to be...HOME!
