I spent the evening at the hospital with Grandmommy. She is progressing wonderfully. She recognized me and called my name when I came in to her room.
I heard that she also had a mild heart attact. Will try to get more information about that tomorrow.

OH, and Grandmommy had a surprise visitor: Aunt Marjorie!!!!
What a wonderful surprise for everyone.

Information from the Neurologist

Paraphrase from a message received at 11:10pm

Grace’s stroke was on the left side of her brain therefore it affected the right side. For the most part it was a big stroke. The Neurologist did see a small area of concern with a little bit of bleeding but nothing that is over worrying her. The left side of the brain controls speech and that’s why Grace’s speech was off a
little. Grace will be meeting with a Speech Therapist as part of her rehab.

  2. I have not been to work since last week. You know mom comes first. I am at the hospital. Mom is doing good with speech and memory but her body is too weak to stand. I was in today when the physical therapist came to exercise her..... hard to watch.... I told her that her arm and body are only going to move again when she tells it to. Ball in your court mom. Don't rush.
